inaugural event

The first Wrapped in St Marys took place in the town of St Marys in Tasmania on 2 and 3 June 2012.

A cold but sunny winter Saturday morning saw intrepid exhibitors wrapping the poles in textile art – they themselves were also wrapped up against the frosty air!

A yarnbomber called stitchedupmama was also at work …

Michelle from the St. Marys Child Care was also putting up their entry; that’s the St. Marys Historic Hotel in the background –

Marvellous stuff and lots of fun. Glad to see that you are all doing such creative work down there, with a lovely community spirit. It made me qite home sick!!
From an expat, now exiled to chilly Melbourne (but I am keeping up with all my own creative pursuits.) Well done, all.
