Just so there’s no excuse for not having enough time to come up with ideas and designs, we are announcing next year’s theme early!
The 2014 theme will be (fanfare please!) – SWITCHED ON
The idea is to design and make a wrap for a power pole. This is the street art component of our Wrapped in St Marys annual event.
Here are some of the 2013 connected entries, just to give you an idea of possibilities:
Roses are Blue by Stitchedupmama – winner, open category
We Are All Connected, by St Marys Child Care, detail
Paper Chain of Friendship, by St Marys Day Care, close-up view
Tied, by Rita Summers, back view
Size: 1.5 m high (maximum) x 90 cm wide (approximately)
Power poles vary in circumference – the smallest I’ve found is 86 cm, but some are over 100 cm.
The solution: make your power pole wrap adjustable!
